Three pious young women, the best of friends and united in their love of God, find that they are drawn closer and closer to each other as they begin to have ecstatic visions. Believing that they are communing with our Lord, they do as commanded and are rewarded by ecstatic experiences. They kidnap a hapless hippy and cage him, using his body to achieve sexual union with the Lord, they eat his hand and smear themselves with his blood after they crucify him...'Original Sins' is hilariously inventive, with the Lord being joined by the Devil (who joyously buggers a catholic priest), a crass death metal band and an alien being. I won't spoil the story by revealing the truth behind the ecstatic visions, you've got to see it for yourselves.

It's hard to figure out why the film was refused a UK certificate for so long, but perhaps the girlishness of the three young women and the outrageous blasphemy ruffled a few too many feathers. In any case, go for it. Play it to your religious relatives or to the born agains at work, they'll love you for it.
