Headbutt are definitely (defiantly?) at the metal end of the industrial music spectrum, and this CD comes on strong like vintage Ministry at times. The opening track - Facial Towtruck - steams in with power riffs, catchy chorus and a driving rhythm. This sounds like pissed off music for pissed off people, but to be honest without a lyric sheet it’s hard to know whether Headbutt want to destroy the world or merely give it a gentle smack on the bottom.
The rest of the CD lacks the insistence of the opening number, but industrial metallists will appreciate the noise produced by a band featuring three bassists and two percussionists. There’s an unlisted ninth track on the CD which consists of a loop of the singer screeching ‘No!’ again and again - which is as annoying Al Jourgensen’s looped squawk on one of the Revolting Cock’s albums.
